2016 DRAPER ADVANCES IN FIVE SETS
Jack Draper, 28th seed, reached the second round after defeating Sweden's Elias Ymer 3-6 6-3 6-3 4-6 6-3.
2005 NORRIE BEATS DIAZ ACOSTA
Briton Cameron Norrie defeated Facundo Diaz Acosta 7-5 7-5 6-3.
1955 PLAY ON SOME OUTSIDE COURTS SUSPENDED DUE TO BAD LIGHT
Play was suspended on Court 2 in the fourth set of Felix Auger-Aliassime against Thanasi Kokkinakis. The Canadian leads 6-4 7-5 6-7(9) 1-1. Play was later suspended on all the outside courts with several matches held over to finish on Wednesday.

Tunisian 10th seed Ons Jabeur had no trouble getting past Japan's Moyuka Uchijima 6-3 6-1.

Former world number one Caroline Wozniacki claimed a 6-2 6-0 win over American Alycia Parks in the Dane's return to Wimbledon after four years.

Kazakhstan's Yulia Putintseva reached the next round as she knocked out former Wimbledon champion Angelique Kerber of Germany 7-5 6-3.

Greek 11th seed Stefanos Tsitsipas shook off Japan's Taro Daniel 7-6(5) 6-4 7-5.
1745 RUNE OFF TO A STRONG START
Danish 15th seed Holger Rune made an impressive start to his campaign, beating South Korean Kwon Soon-woo 6-1 6-4 6-4.
1730 HOME HOPE BOULTER SURVIVES MARIA SCARE
British number one Katie Boulter booked her place in the next round after a hard-fought 7-6(6) 7-5 win over German Tatjana Maria.

Fresh off her French Open triumph, top seed Iga Swiatek began her quest for a maiden Wimbledon crown with a 6-3 6-4 victory over American former world number four Sofia Kenin.
1655 OSTAPENKO SEES OFF TOMLJANOVIC
Latvian 13th seed Jelena Ostapenko, the 2017 French Open champion and 2018 Wimbledon semi-finalist, eliminated Australian Ajla Tomljanovic after a dominant 6-1 6-2 win.
1626 KALINSKAYA SENDS UDVARDY PACKING
Anna Kalinskaya, the Russian 17th seed, comfortably beat Hungary's Panna Udvardy 6-3 6-2.
1625 RUBLEV MAKES EARLY EXIT AFTER COMESANA DEFEAT
Russian sixth seed Andrey Rublev fell to a 6-4 5-7 6-2 7-6(5) loss to 23-year-old Argentine Francisco Comesana, who was making his Grand Slam debut.
1612 DJOKOVIC STORMS PAST KOPRIVA
Second seed Novak Djokovic, seven-times Wimbledon champion, made a winning return from a knee injury, defeating Czech Vit Kopriva 6-1 6-2 6-2.

German fourth seed Alexander Zverev brushed aside Spaniard Roberto Carballes Baena 6-2 6-4 6-2.
1534 DE MINAUR DEFEATS DUCKWORTH
Lucky loser James Duckworth tested fellow Australian Alex de Minaur, but the ninth seed ultimately prevailed 7-6(1) 7-6(3) 7-6(4).

1346 HOLDER VONDROUSOVA STUNNED BY MANEIRO
Marketa Vondrousova became the first women's defending champion in 30 years to fall in the Wimbledon first round after the Czech sixth seed was beaten 6-4 6-2 by Jessica Bouzas Maneiro of Spain.
Steffi Graf is the only other women's champion to perish in the first round since tennis turned professional in 1968.

Former Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina had little trouble in beating Romanian Elena-Gabriela Ruse, sealing a 6-3 6-1 victory.
