WASHINGTON (Reuters) - GE <Aerospace CEO Larry Culp said Tuesday the company is hiring 900 new engineers in 2024 as it develops next-generation technologies and supports current engine programs.
The company said the hirings are prompted by efforts to support current aircraft engine programs and develop new technologies. Most engineering roles are expected to be filled in the United States but it is hiring around the globe. With the new hires, GE Aerospace will employ about 53,000 people worldwide, Culp said at an appearance at the Economic Club of Washington.
