Over 7,000 pedestrians were killed in crashes in 2022, Torrance police gives safety tips

The Torrance Police Department reminded the public Tuesday that October is National Pedestrian Safety Month by cautioning people to drive slowly and to be aware of people walking on roads.  According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, at least 7,522 pedestrians were killed in traffic crashes across the county in 2022.
